I love having sausage with my breakfast on the weekends. When I was little one of my favorite things about breakfast on the weekends was having sausage patties with maple syrup on top. This Easy Breakfast Sausage brings me back to being a kid, watching cartoons on the weekends, and eating my sausage and pancakes.
When I did my first Whole30 I found it SO hard to find compliant sausage and I was super sad about it. There are a few brands out there that make compliant sausage but they are still really hard for me to find in my local grocery stores.
Since I couldn’t find any Whole30 compliant sausage in the stores, I decided to try and make my own. Turns out it is SO easy! All you have to do is add some seasonings to ground pork and that’s it!
This sausage recipe is great for making into patties or even just sautéing and using for a yummy pasta dish.
Easy Breakfast Sausage
- 1 lb Ground Pork
- 2 TBSP Fresh Sage
- 1 tsp Poultry Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Ground Fennel Seed
- 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- Add ground pork to a mixing bowl with all the seasonings and combine with your hands
- Form into 2 inch patties or leave as is and cook on medium heat for 6-8 minutes or until cooked through
