Bison Shepherd's Pie

ingredients

step 1

sauté the onion and garlic

step 2

add the ground bison and cook until browned

step 3

boil potatoes

step 4

add the tomato paste and cook for a minute. then add the frozen peas and carrots, coconut aminos, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary

step 5

to the cooked potatoes, add dairy free milk, salt, pepper, and ghee

step 6

mash everything together

step 7

add the meat mixture to a cast iron pan or square 9x9 baking dish

step 8

spread the potatoes on top of the meat and bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes
