Notes

Substitutions
Cabbage- I like to use the coleslaw mix bags that you can find at the grocery stores. They already come with a mix of shredded cabbage and carrots and I find this to be the easiest way to make this dish. If you can't find the pre-shredded cabbage you can shred your own. Just buy one green cabbage and one purple cabbage and finely cut about ¼ of each with a sharp knife.
Vinegar- I love using white vinegar but you can use apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar instead.
Mayonnaise- You can use whatever mayo that you like. You can also make homemade mayo. To make this a vegan coleslaw just use vegan mayonnaise to make the mayo dressing.
Frequently asked questions
Is coleslaw with mayonnaise good for you?
Most coleslaw with mayonnaise isn't great for you. This coleslaw recipe uses nothing but clean and high-quality mayonnaise making it a lot better for you.
Is store-bought coleslaw healthy?
No. Store-bought coleslaw is made with sugar, mayonnaise filled with soybean oil, corn starch, and random chemicals.
