Hi, I'm Kaleena, and I'm so glad you're here!

Kaleena's Kitchen is all about wholesome comfort food made with real ingredients. I share easy, approachable recipes designed for everyday life, whether that looks like a busy weeknight dinner, a cozy weekend meal, or something fun to bring to a gathering with friends.
I live in Austin, Texas, with my husband, Brent, and our two dogs, Harley and Roczen. When I'm not in the kitchen, you'll usually find me planning our next trip, enjoying time outside, or dreaming about one day living in the mountains.
My Cooking Journey
My approach to cooking changed in 2016 when I started paying closer attention to the ingredients in the food we were eating. After reading It Starts With Food, Brent and I decided to try the Whole30 program in January 2017. What started as a short challenge ended up completely changing the way I cook at home.
That experience taught me how to build meals around simple, real ingredients without sacrificing flavor. It also showed me that cooking this way doesn't have to be complicated or overwhelming.
As I shared our meals and experiences online, friends and followers began asking for the recipes I was making. In 2019, I launched Kaleena's Kitchen as a place to share those recipes and help others feel more confident in the kitchen.

Many of my recipes are naturally gluten free or easily adapted with simple swaps, and I often draw inspiration from Whole30 and Paleo-style cooking. That said, my focus is never on restriction. It's on creating flavorful, comforting meals that fit into real life and make cooking feel enjoyable.
I believe food should be satisfying, approachable, and made with ingredients you feel good about using. My goal is to help you enjoy cooking at home without stress, complicated techniques, or hard-to-find ingredients.
