Making your own taco seasoning is beyond easy! You will be shocked that you haven't made it before. Most store bought taco seasoning packets have added sugar and added preservatives that are unnecessary. Making a healthy taco seasoning doesn't take a lot of time and uses staple spices that you can find at any grocery store.

Paprika- I like to make this with smoked paprika to give the seasoning mix an extra depth of flavor, but regular paprika will work perfectly.
Step by Step
- In a small bowl, add garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, black pepper, sea salt, oregano, and paprika.
- Mix together till everything is combined.
- Add the mixed spices to a glass jar and give it a good shake.

For every pound of meat, you will use two tablespoons of this seasoning. So if you are using one pound of ground beef or ground turkey to make taco meat then you will use two tablespoons of this taco seasoning.
I like to make a big batch of this so I have plenty on hand for whenever I need it. If I make a big batch I will usually double the recipe.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Chili Powder
- 2 teaspoons Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
- ½ teaspoon Smoked Paprika
